Getting around Brisbane is easy, thanks to a unified public transport system operated by Translink. It has seven fare zones radiating from the CBD and provides a network of buses, trains and ferries to connect Brisbane to its surrounding areas. If you’re a local or are planning to stay in the city for a while, consider purchasing a Translink Go card, which will save you money in the long run.
The Brisbane Airport is an important service point for the city, and there are regular bus services to the airport from all over the city. Alternatively, you can catch the Airtrain to Central Station. If you’re coming from the airport, be sure to book ahead for a cheaper ticket – it costs around AU$15 ($11) each way.
